Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster (2014) unveiled

By James Clark First Official Pictures 16 July 2014 10:42 Aston Martin has revealed the roadster version of its most driver-focussed model, the V12 Vantage S. The car will be mechanically identical to the Coupe, featuring the brand’s 565bhp 6.0-litre V12. It’s enough to propel the V12 Vantage S Roadster to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds and onto a wind-in-the-hair-troubling top speed of 201mph.

We have video of what looks like a new build Pagani Huayra, still plastic wrapped, in purple with Italian Tricolour brake calipers. That’s because the Pagani Huayra has not, as far as we can tell, managed to get a European Certificate of Conformity or managed to be Federalised for the US, so sales are impossible. But Pagani are still producing a few cars – although they’ve probably built more Zondas in the last two years than Huayras – but it looks like this Huayra – caught on video outside Pagaini’s premises in Modena – is a new build.

Spyker and China’s Youngman are launching joint ventures to build the Spyker D8 SUV and develop the Saab Phoenix platform. Did you really think Victor Muller would come out of Saab with nothing? Especially after he told is in April he was looking for investors to push the Spyker D8 SSUV in to production? Muller’s Spyker and China’s Youngman – putative seller and buyer of Saab – are teaming up with a pair of joint ventures that will see Spyker’s long awaited Super SUV – the once D12 SUV and now D8 – coming to market, and Saab’s Phoenix Platform exploited.
